Student Orientation to Blackboard CE8

WELCOME to Blackboard CE8!
Blackboard CE8 is the web-based learning platform used for conducting web-supported and online instruction at National-Louis University. The information on this web page will provide you with instructions on how to connect to your Blackboard CE8 supported course and some brief tutorials to familiarize you with the functions at your disposal.

Note that your course instructor may be still preparing your course site or making modifications during the week prior to the start of the course. Therefore, when you try to connect to your course following the instructions below, you may receive a "denied access" message until the instructor has the course ready. Look for communications from your course instructor on when access will be provided.

Connecting to Blackboard CE8:
To log in to a course that is supported by Blackboard CE8, just log in to the NLU Portal at http://my.nl.edu using your NLU portal ID and password. If you do not know your NLU portal ID and password, there is a link on the log in screen that will provide it for you. Once you have entered the portal, click on the tab for MY COURSES, and find your course in the list of courses under the appropriate term.
